Unlisted direct property investing is an investment in commercial property – that includes office, industrial, retail or social infrastructure property - via a direct or unlisted property fund. Investing in direct property funds can complement other asset classes in an investment portfolio.
Listed property funds, also known as Australian real estate investment trusts (A-REIT), provide investors with exposure to commercial property assets and are traded on the stock exchange, which provides the benefit of daily liquidity. You can invest in Charter Hall Group itself, or in one of the three funds it manages, via a stockbroker or online broking facility. Our A-REITs hold properties directly, are listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and are managed by Charter Hall employees.
Available to wholesale and institutional investors only, our unlisted wholesale property funds offer defensive investments as long-term core holdings. These funds are appropriate for pension funds and large superannuation providers.
Property securities funds provide investors easy access to a diversified portfolio of real estate securities and A-REITs. Our fund is a high conviction, actively managed fund, that gives investors exposure to a mix of quality listed A-REITs that own assets across the retail, residential, commercial, industrial and social infrastructure sectors.
Charter Hall has a strong track record managing unlisted direct property funds and syndicates since 1995. Find out more about the performance of our realised investment funds, being those funds that have been closed and wound up.
We go further to help investors achieve their aspirations, using our property expertise, drive and unique inventive spirit to unlock hidden value.
